Mission

We are called

Acts 1:8- But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”

The Mission God calls us to is far reaching. It goes beyond just the four doors of our homes. We believe that our mission does start in our homes but as we learn about the love of Christ our mission will expand to our local community (Jerusalem) here in Milltown, then to our region here in NJ(Judea) and the United States(Samaria), and finally across the world.(ends of the earth) Here at St. Paul’s we want to give people opportunities to engage in each.

Local

Giving

We give to many local organizations and serve them in many ways. We provide financially for those in need, school supplies for our community, and assist the local schools from caring for children to providing our facilities for their use.

Events

We have many events in the local community from movie nights to our popular wine and beer night. All of these events are designed to express the love and joy of Jesus’ kingdom.

Food Bank

We currently are partnering with the Milltown Methodist Church for a weekly foodbank that serves dozens of families in our immediate community each week. If you’d like to volunteer or donate food please contact Kim at kim@stpaulsmilltownnj.org The food bank is open Tuesday’s 5-6pm

Regional

Youth Works

We partner with Youth Works for our youth mission trips.

Interfaith Network of Care

The mission of the Interfaith Network of Care (INC) is to give personal and social support to people coping with chronic conditions, disabilities, isolation, and other age related disabilities and to help those responsible for their day-to-day well being. Trained volunteer caregivers, agencies, and the community-at-large encourage people to continue to live independent, meaningful lives in their own homes. St. Paul’s serves on their board, provides resources, recruits volunteers, and houses their staff in our office space.

FISH

The mission of the FISH Hospitality Program (FHP) is to serve homeless families and single women by providing shelter and meals, and such other assistance as we are able, in order to give them a new opportunity to live independently in their communities as respected families and individuals. FHP does assist and enable our guests to obtain housing, jobs, medical services, and other assistance to which they are entitled, as far as resources allow. FHP serves people in need without regard to race, religion, national origin, or disability.

Be the Cause by Because International

We partner with Because International’s VBS curriculum to teach our kids about God’s mission and needs across the world. Products like The Shoe That Grows can make a big difference for kids and families living in poverty. With Be The Cause, your kids can support entrepreneurs in the Pursuit Incubator who are making a difference in their communities with ideas for life-changing products like The Shoe That Grows. Be The Cause is completely free and uses biblical lessons and activities to teach kids how to love their neighbors and be a force for good.

Mission 25/35

Mission 25/35’s mission is to live out the teachings of Christ in community. At the core of our DNA is Matthew 25:35 & 36 “For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.”

Jesus is not asking us to do the impossible, only that we love those in need! Our missional mantra is that ‘We Are To Live Beyond Ourselves and Make a Difference’. It was this conviction to make a difference that led our family to the Dominican Republic.

In the mountainous northern region of ‘El Cibao’ we have been making a difference by planting new & thriving churches through implementing innovative solutions that address what we have identified as the 4 Pillars of sustainable communities; Clean Water, Food, Healthcare & Job Training.

We wholeheartedly believe that the most effective way of reaching these communities with the message of the Gospel is to provide innovative solutions to help meet their needs.
