Our Pastor: Matt Murphy
Pastor
Pastor Matt is married to his beautiful wife Kelly they have 4 kids; Joshua, Caleb, Gideon, and Sarah as well as their dog Rosie. All four kids are actively involved at St. Paul’s. Joshua plays in our praise band, Caleb helps with AV, and Gideon and Sarah are involved with our Kid’s choir and pageants. The Murphy’s began their ministry with us on January 1st 2020. Pastor Matt is an ordained minister, earned his Master’s of Divinity from Nyack Alliance Theological Seminary and has his Doctorate from Portland Seminary. Pastor Matt loves hanging out with his family going camping, hiking, watching movies, and cheering for his beloved Michigan Wolverines.
Emily Sensenbach-Gopal
Music Director
Emily has served at St. Paul’s for over a decade. Her primary role is to lead our Music ministry including playing the piano and organ every Sunday. She wears many hats on top of that filling in wherever needed. Her husband Dave serves on our consistory with her two children Silas and Dana helping out with Sunday morning set up and AV.
Pam Sarch
Administrative Assistant
Pam and her husband Ethan are heavily involved at St. Paul’s. Pam serves as a singer in our choir and Praise Band. She helps out as a volunteer in our office on Monday mornings.
Kelly Murphy
Administrative and Accounting Assistant
Kelly is the Pastor Matt’s bride and joy. She serves the church as our in house volunteer accountant and administrative assistant. She sits in the office on Tuesday and Wednesday mornings. Kelly is involved in everything at the church from choir, the occasional special music, scripture reading, prayer, Bible Study, Kid’s Ministry, and Youth Group. She is a great Pastor’s wife who is always willing to fill in wherever needed.
Angela DelRio
Administrative Assistant
Angela is heavily involved at St. Paul’s through serving on our consistory, event planning team, and serving coffee hour. Since joining St. Paul’s she has jumped in with both feet getting involved wherever she is needed. Angela helps out in our office as a volunteer most Thursday and Friday mornings.
Consistory
What is the Consistory?
The Consistory is the governing board of the church. Each member is elected by the congregation to serve a term of 3 years. Elders and Deacons come together to serve the people of St. Paul’s. The consistory provides for the welfare of our staff, property, finances, and spiritual needs of the church.
What is an elder?
Elders are called by God to serve the spiritual needs of the church. 1 Timothy 3:1-7 and Titus 1:5-9 serve as guidelines.
What is a deacon?
Deacons are called by God for the ministry of mercy, serving, and the operational needs of the church. 1 Timothy 3:8-13 serve as guidelines.
