Our Mission & Vision

Our vision and mission is bring the love of Jesus to the heart of the community.

St. Paul’s is focused on becoming the church God is calling us to be. God must build the church. We are the people God is using to build it. St. Paul’s was organized in the Evangelical Reformed Tradition in 1872. Today we are a fellowship made up of numerous religious traditions. Our mission is following Christ’s teachings to love God with all our heart, soul, mind, and strength and by loving our neighbor.

Mission & Purpose

It is our desire that we are a people who give our full allegiance to Jesus Christ. As we give Jesus our allegiance we are going to invite all to his Kingdom Table. His table is found not just in the sanctuary on Sunday mornings but in our homes and out in the community. We bring Jesus’ love to the community through a life formed in the way of Jesus. We participate in what Jesus is already doing in our community by the power of the Holy Spirit. We do this together as the family of God. As the family of God we are going to find Jesus in our lament, grief, and heartache. We are going to be there for people through their ups and downs. As a people at St. Paul’s we will slow down to catch up with God. It is important to us that our children are cared for and our teens are empowered to serve.

Our Beliefs

God

God is the Creator and Ruler of the universe. He has eternally existed in three personalities: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit

Jesus

Jesus Christ is the Son of God. Jesus lived a sinless human life and offered Himself as the perfect sacrifice for the sins of all people by dying on a cross. He arose from the dead after three days to demonstrate His power over sin and death. He ascended to Heaven’s glory and will return to earth to reign as King of Kings, and Lord of Lords.

Holy Spirit

We believe the only way possible to live the Christian Life is by God’s power within us. All believers receive the Holy Spirit (the Spirit of God) when they receive Jesus Christ as Lord of their lives at salvation. However, believers are encouraged to seek the baptism in the Holy Spirit and to seek a daily dependence on God’s Spirit to enable us to do what is right, and to obey God’s command to “be filled with the Spirit.

Bible

The Bible is God’s Word to us. It was written by human authors, under the supernatural guidance of the Holy Spirit. It is the supreme source of truth for Christian beliefs and living. Because it is inspired by God, it is the truth without any mixture of error.

Salvation

Salvation is God’s free gift to us, but we must accept it. We can never make up for our sin by self-improvement or good works. Only through trusting in Jesus Christ as God’s offer of forgiveness can anyone be saved from sin’s penalty. When we repent of sin, confess Jesus as Lord, and turn from our self-ruled life, we are saved.
